Sportcraft Treadmills

Sportcraft Treadmills - Lowww End

Sportcraft treadmills are late entries from Sportcraft, Ltd.

A long-time producer of indoor and outdoor games and sports equipment and darling of mass-market chains like K-Mart, Wal Mart, and Target, all of which have named it a vendor or supplier of the year.

As might be expected from a company servicing the discount market, Sportcraft treadmill models are low-end.

Sport Craft currently offers ten models, including the Power Swing II, a combination treadmill and arm pulley system available at Wal Mart.

Top-of-the-line is the TX 795.

Belts And Pulleys

The Sport Craft TX795 is equipped with a 3.0 HP motor for speeds up to 12MPH and powered incline.

One-touch buttons control incline and speed. The TX795 treadbelt is 19.5x57" and the cushioned deck supports up to 300 lbs.

Programming includes six preset workouts and a grip pulse gives readouts of heat rate along with displays of time, distance, and lap count.

The Sportcraft TX795 has a fold-away design.

The Power Swing II has a 2.25 HP motor and can go up to 10MPH.

Its deck adjusts to three positions and has a cushioned walking surface of 16x50", pretty small.

Its main feature, however, is the pulley system affixed to the tail end allowing the user to get an upper-body workout by pulling on the pulley handles while walking. Hmmm.

It goes for under $600 at Wal Mart.

Warranties on Sport Craft treadmills cover the frame for lifetime, the motor for 10 years, parts for 1 year and labor for 90 days.

"Snake Walkers" Author J. Everett Prewitt: BOOK REVIEW

Snake Walkers
By J. Everett Prewitt
Northland Publishing Company (2005)
Reviewed by Beverly Pechin for Reader Views (3/06)

When first approaching Snake Walkers I wasn't so sure it was going to be my 'cup of tea'. It seemed to be another one of those stories set back in the days of racial conflict, one we've all heard before... but I quickly realized I have never seen this side of the race wars. Set in the late 1940's through the 1960's the story begins with a young black boy (Anthony) seeing another boy being hung and beaten by a group of 14 white men. Scared to the depths of his soul he holds this vision deep within for decades, allowing it to eat at him until he's finally forced to confront the issues of what he saw.

Anthony vows to make right the wrongs he has seen, if even by making a small difference in the world of blacks but his ways of 'making a difference' seems to differ a lot from what many others are doing during this time of conflict. His father brings him up to believe that the colored folk are in the predicament they're in because of their own ignorance and violence. Anthony follows in his father's way of thinking and feels that he can make a difference by being the best he can be and not making those he's fighting against angry with such 'stupid' actions as marches and out right confrontation. He chooses to ignore the violence involved with often innocent black men and women or at the least, put it in the back of his mind.

Then Anthony lands a job as 'the first negro to write for the Sun'. This position makes him feel as thought this is his chance to make the difference he's always wanted to make. He finds himself working on a story, which soon becomes a much deeper and darker story than he ever thought. Then to complicate matters even more, he seeks some answers from a beautiful, intelligent professor that he instantly has feelings for, but doesn't want to allow those feelings overtake his ability to write a good story. As he uncovers more and more information it becomes less and less clear who is 'on his side' now and he finds danger in every corner.

During his quest, he also finds that perhaps his father's ways aren't the right ways. He finds that family isn't always as cut and dry as he thought, and begins to understand the true meaning of family ties and bonds.

While the beginning of the book was a little slow, a little perseverance will put you deep within the soul of a touching, thrilling story like no other. You've never seen the times of racial wars like this before, I can assure you. It's a wonderful book that will open your eyes to many things, including what true love and family means.

Shadow of an Indian Star - Book Review

Shadow of an Indian Star is a 500-page historical fiction set in the early 1800ยs. It accurately brings life to a fascinating era of gun slinging, saloon drinking, hard work, rough living and bittersweet romance. The exploits of heroes, villains and those just trying to survive during this tumultuous era are certain to keep readers aching to turn the next page.

A rich family lore, with momentary appearances of well-known historical characters such as Billy the Kid and General Custer, was remembered and passed on to each new generation until Bill Paul and his wife Cindy became curious enough to determine the accuracy of the tales. As it turned out, the stories were true!

Map-lovers will enjoy the insert within the first few pages, which depicts the area that this story takes place in. Three generations of the Paul family history and their bitter feuds are divided into segments, one for each generation. A simple family tree is provided on the last page.

Little known facts of the Native Indian tribe known as the Chickasaw Nation along with the life of early settlers in Oklahoma could be excellent reading for history classes. Readers will witness the Trail of Tears and learn about callous and greedy settlers and a corrupt government. Readers will also see the grace and pride between both peoples in their uninhibited generosity, genuine grief for each other and intense inter-racial romances.

Authors Bill and Cindy Paul are both well educated individuals. Bill holds a degree in animal science, while Cindy has degrees in biology and environmental science. The couple resides in the very same valley and maintains the family graveyard that is written about in their first novel, Shadow of an Indian Star.

I am completely in awe of the authorsย talent and superb story-telling capabilities.
This tale was amazing and I enjoyed the ride immensely. There is no doubt in my mind that this book needs to be seen by movie or TV series producers.

Affiliates, 3 Things You should Own though You don't Own a Product

1. Your Own web site:

Most affiliates put a redirect link directly to their affiliate
product. It is not such a good practice.

*Register a domain that closely resembles your affiliate product
website. For example, if you are an affiliate for affiliateproduct.com
web site, try to register affiliate-product.com or affiliateproduct.net.

*Follow the lay-out of your affiliate product web site.

*Put content on your web site (minimum of 10 pages). Like articles
and reviews related to your affiliate product. No need to say to put up
links leading the visitor to your affiliate web site.

*If you have a multiple different affiliate products, don't mix them up
and put all of those links on same web site. Choose a multidomain host
and host your different affiliate web sites for cheap.

2. Your Own opt-in list:

You need your own opt-in list **no matter** what you sell and your own
or your affiliate product.

Start giving free ecourse or an ezine related to your affiliate product
and collect email addresses.

You need a follow up autoresponder or a maling list manager to manage
this process of collecting emails, follow up, sending promotional emails
etc. etc.

Here is a PHP script that you can use as BOTH follow up autoresponders
and mailing list managers:

http://www.scripts4webmasters.com/follow-up-autoresponder-pro/index.shtml

3. Your Own Ezine articles:

Yep! You have to spread the word about your affiliate product. Don't You?
Write articles related to your affiliae product and publish them on your
web site, send them to publishers, submit them to content sites.

Do a search on Google or Altavista like 'submit+article', you will get a
big list of sites. Keep your favorites on your Favorites folder and submit
to them on regular basis.

Few tips in writing ezine articles in the affiliates perspective:
=Don't expose your affiliate link directly in your resourcebox.
=Usually affiliate links comes as long URLs. These tend to breakup.
So use some kind of redirection.
=Only promote one product in one article.

Spiderman Comic

Spiderman comics are a great series to start reading if you're a super hero fan. What makes this comic so great is the hero. Spiderman is Peter Parker, a teenager in the early Amazing Spiderman comics. He is just a normal every day teenager going to school and studying. He loves science but one day when he goes to a science demo on radioactivity a small spider drops down in the ray's path. The same spider bites Peter Parker. He then get spider powers. Each spider power is different. One is called spider sense which alerts him when danger is near. The comic books shows this by putting some rays of energy around his head. He also gets spider agility. This power gives him speed and balance. Spider strength allows Peter to pick up cars and other heavy items. He also becomes able to stick to walls like a spider would. Now you would think he can shoot webbing too, but in the comics he can't do this on his own. Being the science student he is, he made a device called a web shooter. The devices go on both his wrists and he loads them with web cartridges. By a touch of his fingers with a certain amount of pressure, he can shoot a thin web and a thick web. He uses his webbing to tie up criminals and to swing through the city. Sometimes his webbing runs out, so he has to use refills to continue web swinging. Peter Parker is normally a shy guy and does not talk much, but when he is Spiderman he tells funny jokes when he is facing off against a villain. Speaking of villains, the Spiderman comics have a lot of them. If you happen to start reading the comics you may see Electro, a villain who uses electricity, Shocker shooting shock waves, and Green Goblin flying on a hover-like board. These are only few of the villains that can fight Spiderman in the air. The Spiderman stories take place in New York City, and when Peter Parker is not Spiderman, fighting villains and crime, he spends his time taking pictures at the Daily Bugle. Since Peter Parker knows that Spiderman pictures are worth a lot, every time he fights a criminal he sets up his camera up to automatically take a picture of himself then he takes the picture to the Daily Bugle to get paid. Spiderman is a great comic for anyone who likes this type of reading. Spiderman has many different comic series, but one of the most recent is the Ultimate Spiderman comic. It's basically the same as the original comic, but the story is retold putting Spiderman in the 21st Century. Every adventure is a great one. So if you're interested in Spiderman comics go to a book store and purchase an issue today.
