The Pearl (By Anonymous)
The Underground Magazine Of Victorian Erotica
Volume IV Issues 10-12 1880
Book Review By Esmerelda Jones... Writer Of Desires

"The Pearl" was first published in 1897, offering scandalous short stories and verse for those seeking the utmost in erotica. This volume has the choice selections:

La Rose D'Amour (or the adventures of a gentleman in search of pleasure)

Only those in the "first families of the kingdom" may partake of secret weekly meetings amongst sumptuous decor, supreme comforts and refreshments. Harem-costumed darlings worship the uninhibited thrusts and lava explosions, gratefully wrapping their thighs around any new enjoyments. Artful descriptions.

Sally's Mistake

Sally, the sleep-walking maid, accidentally brings a frustrated wife her overdue climax.

Pleasures Afar

A merchant asks a maid of Rome: "Who has the longest tool?"

Miss Coote's Confession (or the voluptuous experiences of an old maid) Naughty letters from Miss Coote detailing her romps. Delicious whippings.

Lady Pokingham (or they all do it)

The Lord substitutes a young butler, James for his wife's excitement.

The Arithmetician

Short verse on the number of Charlotte's lovers.

Frank Fane, A Ballad

The raw whipping of schoolboy Frank by his three delighted masters.

My Grandmother's Tale

The many glories of a lady's pleasures.

A Secret Revealed

No orifice is left without a firm stuffing in this fiery account of why Queen Ester surpassed all the other virgins. Magic ointment and dildos abound. The king is enraptured with double-dealings.

The Marriage Morn

Sweet Lisette begs to be fully pleased.

The New Patent F****** Machine

Schoolgirls share the latest toy to pulp their receptive parts. Can fingers or a man beat this machine?

A Voice In the Night - Poetry Book Review

Seventy-five pages of poetic thought on everyday life, including the author?s frustrations with shopping and solicitors, greet the readers of A Voice in the Night, by GeorgeAnne Smith. She also includes a touching homage to the men and women who protect and serve us all. An interesting poem speaks from the view of a person who is shocked to find out someone was molested, when they had no idea it had happened.

GoergeAnne?s insightful life skills in Within You struck a chord in my mind that rang for days. I felt a sort of kin-ship with the author through Last Words of a Beauty Queen, a poem full of love for nature - something that is dear to my heart. In The Flow shows that poets are not striving for riches or recognition, but are fueled by the faint hope that their words may ease the journey for another human being and break the chains of their despair by making them feel less alone. With Eyes Open is a poem that refers to the purging effect that writing can have for the writer. I thought thatSeeds of Content has an interesting feel to it, reminiscent of chanting.

Glimpses of an older style of writing words slightly reversed, such as "searching we are, a golden life" and "on target, we all are" is something that I particularly picked up on.

To leave you with a little sample of A Voice in the Night, I have chosen this wonderfully written excerpt from the poem Awaken This Lifetime:

"Life may seem, but a merry chase,
Quite overwhelming, a dreary fate
Don?t get discouraged by a hurried pace,
Seek to awaken, for its never too late"

Review of "I Feel Okay", Author Deborah Slappey Pitts

I Feel Okay
By Deborah Slappey Pitts

Reviewed by William Phenn for Reader Views (1/06)

Deborah Slappey Pitts is a woman of great courage and determination. This lady struggled through a medical system full of practitioners because no one would admit to being an expert on the human body, especially not the medical doctors. This is Deborah?s story, a story of anguish, heartache and uncertainty while trying to maintain a household, be a mother to two growing boys, work full time and still manage to keep her sanity. This woman?s struggle in life was to find out what was wrong with her husband, that all of medical science could not figure out. You will see (when reading I Feel Okay) that Ms. Pitts is a very strong, God fearing woman - a woman of action and determination that will not be defeated.

I Feel Okay is a heart retching saga of the Slappey family in crisis. It?s a story about an illness that struck this woman?s husband down in the prime of his life. He contracted a disease, primary amyloidosis, caused by the abnormal accumulation of protein molecules in body tissues that affects eight people out of a million. Pitts?s compelling volume tells of their fight to seek answers from so many doctors and hospitals. One after another, trying different cures for what they perceived to be the problem, cures that did not work. With every attempt at a cure, hopes were dashed even further down to the pit of despair.

I feel Okay is more than a story about a man with a disease. It is a story of life and faith, and how the Slappey family kept the faith against insurmountable odds. It is a story of how strong they were in the face of adversity, yet able to keep a positive mental attitude. I Feel Okay has my highest A+ rating, the book is a, ?must read,? in my opinion. It is well written, an exciting read and above all, a lesson in life.

My Rich Jerk eBook Review

When I first came across this website and online ebook, I thought to myself, either this guy really knows what he's doing promoting his own product, or he's totally off his rocker.

Well, he really knows how to promote his own product. Not only are the ads eye-catching conveying a certain irreverent attitude about himself and others but it's an easy read with straightforward language. Warning! Please ignore the insulting attitude, it's not designed to hurt you in any way, it's designed to get you to react!!!

Second, he's got links coming and going in this ebook, and believe me, it takes a certain amount of time to click through everything (if you're following his advice to the letter). You're also setting up free accounts all over the internet map and that will take some time. Everything is explained in detail so it's basically easy to do. You might need 60 days to do all that he tells you to do.

The chapters cover such things as Affiliate Networks (which I knew nothing about), sales letters (very hard core), offering rebates, getting paid per lead (I had no idea you could get paid for leads), and building your own website. I especially liked Chapter 8 which has lots of supplemental information for beginners.

In addition, he talks about Search Engine strategies and optimizations, selling your own informational product (which I plan to do soon), buying wholesale and selling on eBay (something I still haven't tried), something called Clickbank, also other online ventures are covered.

I was completely intrigued when I started to read the book. I also was totally overwhelmed with all the information! Wow! Then I read it again and highlighted items that were pertinent to what I was trying to do. After that, I actually wrote out a plan of what I was going to do, referring back to the book for sources and valuable tips. Now I have completed about half of my plan and things are going well.

Obviously the Rich Jerk loves money and loves to make even more with every click. I'm sure by now he doesn't care what people think or say about him. The program is valuable and worth investigating. There are others out there as well, maybe even for less money but if you don't like it or want to use the tools he gives you, you will get a full refund within 60 days.

Again, be forewarned of the irreverent attitude! He doesn't know you so it's not directed at you personally. I'm sure some people will be turned off right at the beginning and then it wasn't meant for them to be involved with this online venture. There are plenty others to look into, as I have discovered.
